Boomers are latecomers to the digital revolution, but are beginning to close their gadget and social media gap with younger generations.
For example, among younger Boomers (ages 46-55), fully half now use social networks, compared with 20% in 2008. That rate of growth is more rapid than for younger generations. Also, more than half (55%) of older Boomers (ages 56-64) now watch online video, compared with 30% in 2008.
Seniors And Boomers Are Increasingly Using The Internet And Social Media
There was a video recently that went viral on the Internet showing an older couple trying to use the Internet. They became sensations and “stars” of sorts. I’m sure there are many other boomers and seniors that could put themselves in the same position.
RMLS™ Our Multiple Listing Abbreviations And Terms
Many times I get inspiration for a blog post because of the subject matter a reader searches for. I have Google Analytics and Google Alerts set up for all my blogs so I get notified what people are looking for.
On one of my other blogs, I posted the RMLS™ terms. We Portland real estate agents use those terms everyday and forget that most of the general public most likely have no clue as to what all the abbreviations are. If you’ve ever searched for a Portland home on-line and had the chance to view an RMLS™ listing, you no doubt wondered what some of the abbreviations or terms meant. There are even some I have a hard time figuring out what they are.
